The Right to Remain Silent (1996)

Assigned to process all the new arrests, Christine confronts a gallery of people from all walks of life. And each one has a story to tell -- sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, sometimes both.

Among the suspects are Tom Harris, a young man whose drunk driving has caused the death of a little girl, and Nicole Savita, an HIV+ teacher who attacked her bosses after they fired her for her illness.

Although Christine seems different than the other cops (she's a "health nut" who doesn't eat donuts), her tough lieutenant soon starts to sense that the new officer may just have what it takes to do the job.
