STANLEY TUCCI portrays petulant and prideful dentist Griffin, bringing some of the menace to the part that he so memorably evoked as villain" Richard Cross" in the landmark 1V series Murder One. He has recently completed filming The Road to Perdition, directed by Sam Mendes, starring alongside Paul Newman, Tom Hanks and Jude Law. In July he stars as part of an ensemble cast that includes John Cusak, Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal and Catherine Zeta-Jones in America's Sweethearts. He starred in the role of Adolph Eichmann opposite Kenneth Branagh in the HBO drama Conspiracy. This fall he'll appear in Barry Sonnenfeld's Big Trouble and in The Whole Shebang with Bridget Fonda.
Director of the acclaimed feature films Joe Gould's Secret, The Imposters and Big Night which he also wrote and co-directed with Campbell Scott, Tucci won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival, an Independent Spirit Award, the Critics Prize at Deauville and honors from the New York Film Critics.
Other film credits for Tucci include Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry, A Life Less Ordinary, Mrs. Parker And The Vicious Circle, It Could Happen To You, The Pelican Brief and Billy Bath gate. Other credits include starring as Winchell in the HBO original film, for which he received both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards and as "Puck" in a new version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream.
