Plot: A filmed remake of the classic Brecht/Weill operetta, "The Threepenny Opera". This is the musical story of a motley group of beggars, thieves, killers and informants who through their violent interactions and witty songs, provide a running criticism of the world and its maker. This version is based on Joseph Papp's 1976 stage revival.
