Plot: Alcohol enthusiast Lionel "Ex" Exley (Campbell Scott) is a golf pro who returns to his hometown of New Orleans after a brief DUI-induced jail stint. While in a bar, he befriends the similarly alcohol-inclined lawyer W. Firmin Carter (Jared Harris). Through a trail of country club luncheons and cocktail parties, they meet the Van Dyke sisters (Laura Linney and Laurel Holloman), upper crust party girls with busy social calendars. When Carter suddenly goes missing, however, the party's over for Ex, as he's the prime suspect. Director Mark Gibson's first film takes a darkly comic look at one man's journey through the dark side of the Big Easy.
