Kevin Costner in 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) KEVIN COSTNER (Murphy) directed, produced and starred in the epic drama "Dances With Wolves," which won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. A graduate of California State University at Fullerton, Costner began his acting career in independent films, graduating to a leading role in the Amblin Entertainment production "Fandango.
