Being a good friend can be difficult, but the rewards are great. Two unruly boys, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, pledge their friendship to one another in anticipation of days filled with fun and laughter. Instead, the two witness a graveyard murder and swear an oath of silence to protect their own lives. Treasure hunting and Tom's budding friendship with his classmate Becky pale when the boys' silence threatens to allow an innocent man to hang for the crime, and Tom must choose between keeping his pact with Huck and justice for his friend Muff Potter. This 1995 Disney presentation of Mark Twain's classic The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, featuring Jonathan Taylor Thomas as Tom and Brad Renfro as Huck, reaffirms the notion that "When a friend's in trouble, you can't just run away." Walt Disney Pictures produced this version of Mark Twain's beloved novel, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."
Young friends Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn are once again causing mischief in 1840's Hannibal, Missouri. However, the boys run into even more trouble than they bargained for after they witness Injun Joe kill a man late one night.
Although the two friends take an oath of secrecy, Tom reveals the killer's identity to save an innocent man from being sent to prison. But Injun Joe avoids capture and goes after Huck, Tom and Tom's girlfriend, Becky Thatcher.
The film's exciting climax has the youngsters facing the murderer in a creepy cave.

A mischievous young boy, Tom Sawyer (Jonathan Taylor Thomas),witnesses a murder by the deadly Injun Joe. Tom becomes friends with Huckleberry Finn (Brad Renfro), a boy with no future and no family. Tom has to choose between honoring a friendship or honoring an oath because the towm alcoholic is accused of the murder. Tom and Huck go through a couple of adventures trying to retrieve evidence.He does a good deed and everyone in town is proud of him.Tom is frightened by Injun Joe and thinks he will be killed himself.
