Plot: Artaban, a Persian physician, exchanges his practice for 3 costly jewels and sets out on a pilgrimage to see the Baby Jesus. But on his way to Bethlehem, Artaban's must stop time and time again to tend to the sick who so desperately need his skills. Artaban finally arrives in Judea -- without his gems -- just in time to see Jesus on the cross. What he does offer the Messiah, however, is more precious than any jewel.
