 Synopses for Enough (2002)
1.

Ridiculous, manipulative, and utterly irresistible, this push-button thriller instantly qualifies as a guilty pleasure, even when you know it's just a B-movie potboiler with moxie to spare. Taking a savvy clue from Ashley Judd's Double Jeopardy and any number of endangered-female melodramas from Hollywood's golden age, Jennifer Lopez stars as a blue-collar beauty who marries the really wrong guy (Billy Campbell). Eventually, of course, she discovers his philandering and spends the rest of the movie in nomadic flight from his hot-tempered brutality. Bankrolled by her estranged father (Fred Ward), she protects her young daughter, but knowing she must face the inevitable showdown with Campbell, she buffs up with Krav Maga self-defense courses and... well, we won't spoil the "surprise." With Campbell doing everything but twirl his mustache, this shameless provocation is beneath the talents of director Michael Apted, but with J. Lo in charge, it's a revenge fantasy that's guaranteed to please. --Jeff Shannon

2.A diner waitress, Slim (Jennifer Lopez), meets Mitch (Bill Campbell), a handsome rich man who defends her in the diner. They marry and have a child, but Slim's happiness is soon lost when she discovers that her husband has a mistress. When confronted, Mitch becomes abusive and proceeds to lay down controlling laws for Slim. As the abuse grows worse, Slim realizes that fleeing is her only path to freedom. Mitch's determination becomes evident as he tracks Slim down, terrorizes her, and uses the legal system to his advantage, scheduling a custody hearing. Realizing that flight and the law are not her strongest allies, Slim takes intensive combat classes, preparing to meet Mitch one last time, intending to kill him in apparent self defense.

ENOUGH wisely spins typical gender roles beyond the training of its protagonist. Slim is aided by a sensitive male admirer (Dan Futterman), who has stamina problems, and her daughter Grace (Tessa Allen), who has admirable basketball skills. When it comes time for the climactic last battle, ENOUGH doesn't get bogged down with politics, sexual or otherwise. Instead, it gleefully delivers an elaborate, bloody, final brawl.

3.Slim (Jennifer Lopez), a hard-working woman thought she met the perfect man in Mitch (Billy Campbell), a charming, wealthy contractor. They start an idyllic life together in the suburbs, but after the birth of their daughter Grace, Slim discovers that Mitch has another side– a controlling and dark alter ego who turns trust, love and domestic tranquility into terror and menace. Terrified for her daughter, Slim tries to escape the marriage, but Mitch relentlessly pursues her. She changes her name, her appearance, her very identity, and goes into hiding, only to be hunted again. No one can help her, not her friends and not even the police. But Slim has had enough of fear and running.

4.Everyone has a limit.

Working-class waitress Slim (Jennifer Lopez- The Wedding Planner) thought she was entering a life of domestic bliss when she married Mitch (Billy Campbell- TV's Once and Again), the man of her dreams. After the arrival of their first child, her picture perfect life is shattered when she discovers Mitch's hidden possessive dark side, a controlling and abusive alter ego that can turn trust, love and tranquility into terror.

Terrified for her child's safety, Slim flees with her daughter. Relentless in his pursuit and enlisting the aid of lethal henchmen, Mitch continually stalks the prey that was once his family. Finally Slim is forced to fight back, engaging Mitch in a physical and psychological battle, showing his that she's had Enough

Jennifer Lopez delivers an electrifying performance as a new breed of action hero in director Michael Apted's (The World Is Not Enough) harrowing, high-style thriller hit.
