Christian Slater in 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)
In his prolific career, CHRISTIAN SLATER (Hanson) has starred on and off Broadway, appeared in more than 20 feature films, and recently become a producer and director.
Slater made his screen debut in 1986 with "In the Name of the Rose," which he followed with memorable performances in Francis Ford Coppola's "Tucker: The Man and his Dream," "Heathers," "Pump Up the Volume," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," "Untamed Heart," Tony Scott's "True Romance" (written by Quentin Tarantino), and "Interview with a Vampire."
Other feature film credits for Slater include "Murder in the First," and John Woo's 'Broken Arrow." He also starred in and executive-produced Peter Berg's dark comedy, "Very Bad Things." Slater was most recently seen in the independent film "The Contender," and will also star, opposite Tim Allen, in the upcoming film "Cletis Trout." Additionally, Christian will star in the John Woo epic WWII drama "Windtalkers," opposite Nicolas Cage.
Born and raised in New York, Slater attended the prestigious Dalton School and the Professional Children's School. He made his stage debut at the age of 9 in "The Music Man" with Dick Van Dyke. Returning to the stage, Slater garnered critical acclaim for his starring role in the recent Broadway production of "Side Man."
In 1991 Slater directed "The Laughter Epidemic," a children's musical benefiting The Pediatric AIDS Foundation. He recently made his directorial debut with the Showtime short feature "Museum of Love."
