Nathan Lane in Titan A.E. (2000)

NATHAN LANE (Preed) is equally at home on stage, screen and television. He was most recently in the hit film Stuart Little as the voice of Snowbell, and in the comedy Isn 't She Great with Bette Midler. He will soon be on view in Kenneth Branagh's Love's Labour's Lost, opposite Alicia Silverstone, Matthew Lillard and Adrien Lester, and in Alan Rudolph's Trixie opposite Emily Watson and Nick Nolte.

Lane's other film credits include At First Sight, opposite Mira Sorvino and Val Kilmer; the smash hit comedy Mouse Hunt, which marked his first screen foray since his triumphant performance in Mike Nichols' The Birdcage, which he helped become one of 1996's biggest hits. His portrayal of Albert earned Lane a Screen Actor's Guild Award® and a Golden Globe nomination. He also won great acclaim as the voice of Timon in Disney's smash hit film The Lion King. Additional film credits include: Addams Family Values, Life with Mikey, Frankie and Johnny, He Said, She Said, Iron weed, The Lemon Sisters and Jeffrey.

Broadway audiences have long embraced Lane as one of the shining lights of the stage. In 1996 his performance in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," directed by Jerry Zaks, earned him the Tony Award®, the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award. His other Broadway credits include Terrence McNally's "Love! Valor! Compassion!" for which he also won Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Obie Awards®; Neil Simon's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor"; the role of Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls," for which he received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards; "Present Laughter"; "On Borrowed Time" with George C. Scott; "The Wind in the Willows"; "Some Americans Abroad"; and the national touring company of "Broadway Bound."

Lane also has been recognized with a Daytime Emmy Award® for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program, for his work in Disney's "Timon and Pumbaa's Wild Adventure: Live and Learn." Lane's television appearances include "Molly Dodd," "Miami Vice," Great Performances' "Alice in Wonderland," Terrence McNally's "The Last Mile," and Hallmark Hall of Fame's "The Boys Next Door."

This summer, Lane will return to the Broadway stage to star in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of the classic comedy "The Man Who Came to Dinner."
