Genre: Drama, Prison, Love, Revenge, Police, Thieves
Plot: When police take in robbery accomplice Nan Taylor for booking, she attracts the sympathy of former classmate and evangelist David Slade. Though Slade preaches law-and-order politics over the radio, he comes to the woman's defense and persuades the judge not to put her behind bars. After Nan is released into Slade's custody, she reveals her participation in the crime -- and he blows the whistle, sending Nan up the river. In the joint, Nan will not meet with Slade when he pays her visits. Then she hears word that two other members of her gang have been locked up, and she finally agrees to see Slade, so she can use the preacher to hatch an escape plan for her cohorts and for herself.
