"The House of the Dead" is the sort of delightfully bad teen splatter flick that exists without any excuse in the world. It is a rip-off of countless previous slasher films, and of every known zombie movie, but I can't imagine the filmmakers would be surprised or offended if you pointed that out to them. [read review]

It's just painful stuff, folks - and even the production values seem low considering this managed to stumble its way into theatres. A horrible zombie flick. It has a good amount of nudity and gore, but in the end fails to gather up a good story. The directing is also very bad, because we're thrown a bunch of lame slow-motion sequences and stupid video-game footage, which really had no point in being there aside from just adding slightly more to the running time. Don't bother with this unless you're a big zombie buff. I'd recommend just waiting for Resident Evil: Apocalypse. [read review] 5/10

You’ve seen the commercials with a bunch of young people firing endless rounds into zombies. Well, that’s the movie, minus DMX’s rapping. Sure, there are a couple of bare breasts here and there, but what you see in those 90-second spots is what’s waitingfor you at the multiplex. [read review]
