Minority Report Reviews |
Report manages to avoid the trap of rehashing tired material with style for the first three quarters of the film. It is a stylish film, looks and sounds great, has great acting but lacks any sort of great originality that would have elevated it to a height of it's own. Minority Report promised to deliver that, but it doesn't. [read review] 6/10 --Paul Boschen (Movie Marshal)
...there is a lot worth recommending about Minority Report, most notably the fantastic futuristic environment created by Spielberg. Had it been trimmed substantially, I've no doubt it would have been one of the best flicks of the year. As it stands, it'sstill excellent summer fodder. Minority Report has success on all fronts, and while some people will find the plot holes easier to overcome than others, there is little denying that Minority Report is an intriguing and dark film that is well executed. [read review] 9/10 --Jason Picker (Movie Marshal)
...a futuristic film noir thriller that will have you clawing into your seat handles during some scenes, reaching for the tissue during others and consistently picking certain strands of your brain throughout. [read review] 8/10 --'JoBlo' (JoBlo.com)
Impressively dark, imaginative, exciting, noir-ish sci-fi thriller with a superb performance by the Cruiser – this is Spielberg’s best film in ages. [read review] --Matthew Turner (ViewLondon)
"Minority Report" easily ranks as the best summer blockbuster in years. Welcome back, Steven! [read review] --Kevin N. Laforest (Montreal Film Journal)
A slow film that promises excitement and suspense, but fails to deliver. [read review] 5/10 --Ryan Lester (Movie Marshal)
