external linkAn action/adventure flick that is lacking both action and adventure C-
--Lee Tistaert (Lee's Movie Info)

external linkIt goes without saying that Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is better than its predecessor. The original Tomb Raider was a disorienting jumble of stunts and special effects, without a single thought for character development or an easy-to-follow storyline. This film substitutes dullness for incompetence, which is (admittedly) preferable. 2/4
--David Nusair (Reel Film Reviews)

external linkIt's moved far enough in the right direction to leave me with hopes that another sequel could even do the games some form of justice. 3/5
--Carl Lazarevic (MovieWeb)

external linkAs incoherent, dumb and stupefyingly bland as its woebegone predecessor, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is as bad as cinephile cynics expected and studio cynics deserve. 1/5
--Nev Pierce (BBC Films)

external linkIt’s only when Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler are up close and personal that you get the sense that anybody was really all that interested in making this film. 65/100

external linkAn extremely disappointing sequel that’s actually boring – with a dreadful script, dull set-pieces and poorly directed action scenes, it’s safe to say that this ‘Cradle’ doesn’t rock. 1/5
