Spider-Man Reviews |
The long awaited release of Spider-Man is proudly another step in the extremely encouraging trend of producing great superhero movies that keep true to an identity that has been developed by years of hard work and passion, whether it be the creators or the fans. [read review] 8.5/10 --Paul Boschen (Movie Marshal)
Generally though, this time around, Spiderman is just one, long fun movie. It’s not meant to be anything but this. There are laughs in all the right places, an excellent soundtrack, special effects, and a believable romantic undertone between the main characters. [read review] 8/10 --Jason Szabo (Movie Marshal)
...one of the best of the year so far, with plenty of entertainment value, plenty of good-hearted moments, an extremely credible romance angle, ideal casting, a super-cool score by the always-cool Danny Elfman, a slick opening credit sequence (think webs!!) and a non-Hollywood ending that totally worked for me! With all the behind-the-scenes wrangles, it's a minor miracle that Sam Raimi's comic book caper is such a stylish, exciting, and ingenious thrill-ride. [read review] --Neil Smith (BBC Films)
Hero's, villains, a beautiful leading lady & some thrilling action scenes… what more could you ask for? A fun popcorn film fit for the family [read review] 8/10 --Ryan Lester (Movie Marshal)
Endearing Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, the sexiest superhero's girlfriend ever, shine in this low-key but charming blockbuster. [read review] --Charles Taylor (Salon)
