ED SPELEERS (Eragon), 18, won the title role of ERAGON after Twentieth Century Fox and the filmmakers conducted a worldwide casting search, which rivaled the hunt for a cinematic “Harry Potter” and included hundreds of auditions and dozens of screen tests.
Speleers, who hails from South England, landed the part following a half-hour audition – and only days before the start of principal photography. Previously, he had appeared in amateur school productions. Speleers has completed his schooling, and is looking forward to continuing his acting career.
