Beyond that, Potter was grateful to be acting in a movie in which most of the central roles are female. "It was so nice to work with other women," says Potter. "That's one of the things that attracted me to Head Over Heels in the first place. And I think our friendship in real life has evolved the same way it does in the film, which is very exciting. We were all just like a bunch of kids on summer vacation."
The energy was infectious, says Prinze. "I just love watching all the girls," he laughs. "They are mad cool, " Prinze also enjoyed the film's role reversals. "In this movie, he was the love object," Waters points out. "He was the one being watched by all the women. It's the complete opposite of most films." "There was no macho sensibility on our set," says Simonds. "I believe what Mark has given us is a George Cukor film for the new millenium."
