The Cell benefits from the midnight movies that ruled a decade before it's realization. It owes a ton of it's imagery to " The Holy Mountain", but that is not to take away from the art of it's director; Tarsem Singh. He, along with Darren Aronofsky, are the he new voices for on-screen surrealism. Gaspar Noe can also be included, in this new take on the cinema surreal. Brad Moore
