As twisted and off-beat as the original and loaded with a bunch of gore this is still a disappointing, and pretty miserable, sequel to the cult original. ... Tedious, lacking in the wit of the original and more ridiculous than entertaining this isn't at all good despite Combs wacky performance and a cool two-sided zombie. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
Weak sequel to "Re-Animator" does bring back Combs and David Gale and features some pretty good gags, but the gore and sex are toned down compared to the first film and there's almost no suspense.-- (eSplatter.com)

Bride of Re-Animator is a terrific sequel to Re-Animator even though it doesn’t rise to the level of its predecessor, which is an awfully hard goal to accomplish. Bride takes the Re-Animator series into a new direction, away from the horror elements of the first and into a more comical direction. --Wade Gum (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
