Plot: Bollywood up-and-comer Vivek Oberoi stars as the title character in Subhash Ghai's historical drama, which is set during India's fight for independence in the 1930s. When Kisna rescues a lovely young English girl (Antonia Bernath) from an angry mob, the two begin to fall for each other, but society's disapproval--and Kisna's fiancée, Laxmi (Isha Shravani)--conspire to keep them apart. The film also features excellent music from A.R. Rahman and Ismail Darbar, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
