Plot: When convicted thief Julian Goddard breaks out of prison, the mysterious Johnny Destiny stops on the roadside to offer him a lift. Strangely, the Plymouth Roadrunner Johnny drives is suspiciously similar to the car driven by Julian's partner in crime, Thoreau. But Julian asks no questions; all he wants to do is find his share of the stolen money and his girl. To accomplish this, however, Julian must listen to his enigmatic driver... or else he'll lose everything, even his new-found freedom.

There's a lot of quirky energy here, but it's completely undirected, making Destiny seem like nothing so much as a movie that's desperate to be cool. And as Carlin's said, that's not cool, that's chilly. And chilly ain't cool. --Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
