Academy Award®-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. is one of Hollywood’s most charismatic and captivating performers. His remarkable versatility, combined with the depth he brings to his many roles, has made him one of today’s most sought-after actors. He made his motion picture debut as leading actor in John Singleton’s “Boyz N the Hood” in 1991. He earned rave reviews and a NAACP Image Award nomination for his portrayal of 17-year-old high school student Tre Styles in Singleton’s searing coming-of-age drama. A year later he was featured in the Oscar-nominated film “A Few Good Men,” costarring Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore. He went on to star opposite Robin Williams in “What Dreams May Come,” “Instinct” with Anthony Hopkins, the action-thriller “Chill Factor,” and the independent thriller “A Murder of Crows” co-starring Tom Berenger, which Gooding, Jr. also produced.
In 2000, he portrayed Carl Brashear, the Navy’s first African-American deep sea salvage master diver, in “Men of Honor”, which co-starred Robert DeNiro. His other film credits include “Outbreak” and “The Tuskegee Airmen” (both 1995), the Michael Bay directed epic “Pearl Harbor” and the screwball comedy “Rat Race” (both 2001), “Snow Dogs” (2002), and “The Fighting Temptations” and “Radio” (both 2003).
