The Blair Witch Project's use of the "less is more" philosophy of cinema is staggeringly successful here, for this would have been a ridiculously hammy movie if the terror-in-the-woods was uncovered for all to see. The film allows the viewers to imagine their own terror, which is undoubtedly a more terrifying one than could ever be put onto celluloid. [read review]
