JOHN CUSACK (Rob Gordon/Screenplay by/Coproducer) most recently starred in Tim Robbins’ "Cradle Will Rock" and in the dark comedy "Being John Malkovich," directed by Spike Jonze.
Cusack earned rave reviews for his performance in Stephen Frear’s "The Grifters" and critical accolades for his roles in "Eight Men Out," "Say Anything," "The Sure Thing," and "Grosse Pointe Blank," a film he starred in and also produced and cowrote under the aegis of his New Crime Productions. He also made memorable cameo appearances in Robert Altman’s Hollywood satire "The Player," Tim Robbins’ political comedy "Bob Roberts," and Terrence Malick’s "The Thin Red Line."
Cusack’s additional film credits include "Con Air," Harold Becker’s "City Hall," Woody Allen’s "Bullets Over Broadway" and "Shadows and Fog," Clint Eastwood’s "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," "True Colors," "Fat Man and Little Boy," and "Sixteen Candles." Additionally, Cusack provided the voice of Dimitri in Fox’s animated feature "Anastasia."
In addition to his film work, Cusack founded New Crime theater company, the foremost avant-garde Chicago theater company next to the Steppenwolf Company, where he has directed four plays.
