Plot: Set in a grim future of stone, steel and darkness, the Kanterra Outpost is besieged by an unstoppable beast, Grendel, who has come to kill anything in its path. A stranger named Beowulf offers his services in battle against the beast. Secrets are revealed as to the origin of the monster and as to Beowulf's true birthright, which lies within the Outpost's darkness.

Beowulf (Christopher Lambert) is a wandering warrior who happens upon The Outpost, a fortress under siege from the mysterious monster Grendel. Beowulf offers his services and manages to actually wound the beast, but he hides a secret that may prove as dangerous as the monster itself. A post-apocalyptic sci-fi adaptaion of the medieval Anglo-Saxon legend. Filmed in Romania.
