 Synopses for Basket Case (1982)
1.

Here's a sick little movie for you--a creepy-funny shocker that's become a semi-cult classic since its release in 1982. It's a cheesy, low-budget horror flick about a small-town geek who arrives in New York City's Times Square carrying his mutant, telepathic twin brother in a big basket (hence the movie's title, get it?). They were once Siamese twins, and now they're seeking gory revenge against the doctors who surgically separated them against their will! Talk about brotherly love! The "normal" sibling has to keep his brother well- fed, and the basket-dweller's appetite runs the gamut from hamburgers to hookers. There's plenty of lowlife "meat" to be found in the seedy motel where the brothers live. Not exactly mainstream fare, as you might already have guessed, but director Frank Henenlotter handles the gruesomeness with resourceful ingenuity. The movie even gathered enough horror-buff momentum to spawn two lesser sequels in 1990 and 1992, which is all the proof you need to add this dubious trilogy to the gross-out hall of fame. --Jeff Shannon

2.After a difficult birth, which their mother didn’t survive, Duane was born with a monstrously deformed conjoined twin, Belial, attached to his side. Embittered by the death of his wife and unable to accept his hideous son, the boys’ father orders the twins to be separated surgically. Surviving the operation, but deeply resentful of his enforced removal from his brother’s side, Belial plans to get even with his father and the doctors responsible. Duane, normal-looking but sympathetic to his brother’s plight, moves to New York carrying with him a large basket in which his grotesque twin hides. Together they seek the surgeons responsible for their violent separation and Belial wreaks his gruesomely bloody revenge…

3.Duane Bradley (Kevin Van Hentenryck) has a secret in his wicker basket, which he carries with him constantly. Inside is his mutant Siamese twin Belial, who was cut from his side as a child and left for dead. Now the two, who share a telepathic link, have travelled to New York City to wreak bloody revenge on the thoughtless surgeons who separated them. Belial is not about to let anything get in his was, least of all the budding romance between his brother Duane and a beautiful young receptionist.

4.Carrying a mysterious wicker basket around with him, Duane Bradley arrives in Manhattan and checks into a sleazy Times Square hotel. What's in the basket you ask? Why, Duane's hideously misshapen Siamese twin brother, Belial, of course! Duane has hit the Big Apple with his beastly bro to wreak havoc on the surgeons who separated them. With memorably gruesome scenes and some disturbing stop-motion animation, Frank Henenlotter's Basket Case is one of the most beloved, cheerfully demented cult classicks of all time, and a midnight movie hit that inspired two sequels.

5.The tenant in room 7 is very small, very twisted, and very mad.

Siamese twins, separated at an early age, avenge their separation by killing the doctors responsible. One brother appears normal, the other is very small, very twisted, very mad and he lives in a basket...until night comes!
