Tagline: The search for the most original wedding of the year is on !
Plot: “We’re launching a competition to find the most original wedding in Britain. . . It’s a chance for them to live their dream and it’s a chance for us to exploit that.” --The film’s CONFETTI Magazine--Three outrageous fantasy weddings, two manic wedding planners and one grand prize . . . let the games begin! That’s what Britain’s leading fictional glamour-wedding magazine, Confetti, has in mind when its owner proudly announces a competition in which three happily-engaged couples will duke it out to create the most to-die-for wedding ceremony, each hoping to win a million-dollar mansion to start their new lives together. As he puts it: “Not everyone wants their wedding ruined by a gimmick . . . but some do.” But when the three-month long competition is captured on video, the unrelenting cameras uncover the real story behind the marriage mania, including melt-downs, blowups, family freak-outs, cloying choreography and even plastic surgery, as each of the couples attempts to at last get hitched . . . with so many hitches that only love could get them through

Here’s a cute, silly affair that may be just the ticket if you are in need of visual aid to deter a crazed intended from plotting wedding overkill. A hundred-odd minutes of the ludicrous matrimonial mania on show here makes a quick, quiet little registryoffice ceremony look like the height of taste and class. --Angie Errigo (Empire Online)
Confetti is both a curse and a blessing to those looking to Britain for comedy film; get on board with it and you'll have a riot but fail to pick up on the experimental nature of its humour and you'll likely be lost. --Joe Utichi (FilmFocus.co.uk)
