Plot: Frank Martin is the best in the business. The ex-Special Forces operative hires himself out as a mercenary “transporter” who moves goods – human or otherwise. Very simply, he delivers…no questions asked. Frank has relocated from the French Mediterranean to Miami, Florida, where as a favor to a friend, Frank is driving for the wealthy Billings family. There’s very little that can surprise The Transporter, but young Jack Billings has done just that; Frank has unexpectedly bonded with Jack, age 6, whom he drives to and from school. But when Jack is kidnapped, Frank must use his battle-tested combat skills to retrieve the boy and thwart the kidnappers’ master plan to release a virus that will kill anyone with whom it comes in

Sure, it's dumb fun and thinking too much about the story might hurt your brain, but by comparison, "Underclassman," while not terrible, tries too hard to be funny and falters in its attempt to offer something for everyone.-- (ComingSoon.net)
This was a blast, pure and simple. It had me laughing at the ridiculousness of the situations, it had me in awe of the perfectly executed action sequences, and took me out of the real world drudgery and threw me headlong into a world of hyper-real actionand suspense. Not the best of the genre, but it is sure to hold your attention in it's wall to wall explosiveness.--Chris Beaumont (Movie-Gurus.com)
It loses some of the lean, mean minimalism of The Transporter and crosses right over into Bond far-fetchedness in its plot and stunts. But it's still a noisy, goofy, cartoonishly violent ride.--Lynn Barker
Without spoiling the end, it should be noted that the final line of the movie suggests that The Transporter 3 could be on the way. It seems like it’s never too early to get started on marketing a sequel. Before you know it, those 13-year old boys will turn 14. --Matt McKillop (FilmCritic.com)
Throw in at least 3 kick ass car and boat chases - 4 or 5 excellent fights and plenty of gun AND sword play and you get Transporter 2. Statham's character is cool and the cars in this movie are un-friggin believable so go check it out. -- (Moviesforguys.com)
Fast paced, non-stop action! More exciting than the original! You won't be disappointed! --Steven Chupnick (MovieWeb)
The greatest thing about the movie is Statham, a charismatic silent, deadly type who deserves to take the wheel behind a better franchise. C+-- (Entertainment Weekly)
But Besson ("The Professional," "The Fifth Element") and his underlings should never have messed with their successful formula in the first place. If you want to make a good check-your-brain action movie, there's only one hard and fast rule: Keep it simple, stupid. --Rob Blackwelder
I don’t normally enjoy dumb action movies. I prefer plot over action, substance over style. However, that said, this is not a dumb action movie. This is an hour and a half of condensed action and I enjoyed every frame.--Colin Le Sueur
Just don't go into this movie with expectations of seeing a film of political scandal, a deeply emotional family unit, and philosophical assumptions on the motivations of terrorists. Because that all takes a backseat to Jason Statham kicking the asses ofeight inept henchmen all at once. That's what this film truly chronicles. Eddie Murphy said it best in Bowfinger, "We making a movie here, not a film!" 7/10--'Cinema Guru Boy' (JackassCritics.com)
So when the characters of Frank and Lola battle in The Transporter 2 it’s almost symbolic of the evolution of Besson’s work and characters, as his idealized male finally faces off against his idealized female in battle.
... basic action-movie entertainment. Besson, Statham, Yeun and company can probably make a new one every two or three years for quite some time, and they'll keep being a bunch of fun. --Jay Seaver (eFilmCritic.com)
But this is a film about a man and his car. And though the action sequences do impress, as does Alessandro Gassman as the baddie, I’m still wondering how Modine’s cantankerous wet rag became a vaunted agency head.
This film…well, it’s got the thrills, but the brains…just like most toys and their batteries: not included (what was with that Jamaican cab driver coming out of nowhere?!). 6/10--'JoBlo' (JoBlo.com)
