Director Vadim Perelman ("House of Sand and Fog") tells ComingSoon.net that shooting on "Atlas Shrugged" begins this December.

Angelina Jolie stars in the highly-anticipated adaptation of Ayn Rand's literary classic which follows Dagny Taggart, a no-nonsense railroad executive, and her attempt to keep the company alive despite repeated encroachments by a society moving toward collectivism, altruism, and statism.

Perelman says he's finished with the script and just doing a polish on his rewrites. Lionsgate has told him they want to move forward and start preparing the film in the Fall if the script is approved by all the relevant parties.
