Colin Farrell has joined the cast and will serve as executive producer on "Triage" reports Dark Horizons.

Based on the novel by Scott Anderson, Farrell will star as a photojournalist named Mark who returns home from a dangerous assignment.

When Mark's colleague and best friend fails to return home, Mark's girlfriend Elena (Paz Vega) must find the clues to the mystery that's slowly killing her boyfriend.

Veteran Christopher Lee also stars. Danis Tanovic ("No Man's Land") will direct from his own adaptation of Anderson's book.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting on location in Ireland and at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante, Spain, from April to June.
