Overall, "Desecration" is a remarkable film. It works on several different levels, but I feel as though only true fans of underground or psychedelic filmmaking will be able to give this film the respect it deserves. Your average horror buddy might just crook his head and say, "What the Hell did I just see?" But is it fun? You bet it is. Did I understand it, even after my fourth viewing? No way.--Ted Geoghegan (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
A little slow-paced and confusing. Has some interesting scenes though. An okay movie in the end. Check this movie out if you get the chance. 5/10-- (UHM)
I intend to watch Desecration again, though I have a feeling a second viewing won't help me to figure out the backstory and the characters' motivations. Instead, I'll watch it for the deadened winter setting, for the acting, which is refreshingly good for a low budget film, and for the atmosphere: cloying and unsettling. 65/100--Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)

"Desecration" is one of the best horror films of recent years. ... Tomaselli managed to direct one hell of an atmospheric movie on a low budget. ... I definitely recommend it.-- (eSplatter.com)
This movie has a lot of potential, but unfortunately it doesn't work very well with it. It feels as if it tries to hard to be scary and instead comes out very cheesy and unscary...It starts out nicely but slowly grows bad and boring. --AnthroFred (SlasherPool)
