 The characters aren't deep enough to allow us to be interested in them as people, and the writing glosses over such issues as child abuse; at times, the film seems to be some kind of twisted, ineffective after-school special. [read review]

While this makes okay viewing and Swanson does alright in her role this is one of director Wes Craven's more average flicks that suffers from some plot holes, some dopey nightmare sequences ... and a pretty junky finale. [read review]
