James Wheeler is head of an excursion to uncover the last undiscovered city of the ancient Mayan civilization. They face trouble from a native tribe called the Chicleros and also from a rival team after the same treasure. As people start disappearing and dying, Wheeler must decide what is worth more, human lives or the undiscovered treasure.

James Wheeler (Robert Patrick) joins forces with Drew Fallon (Fred Ward) on a journey to unearth the last undiscovered city of the ancient Mayan civilization.
As the expedition gets underway in the deep jungles of Mexico, Wheeler's crew soon encounter the Chicleros. At first these natives seem little more than an annoyance, until -- one by one -- Wheeler's entourage begins to fall.
Now, with the Chicleros closing in, and another group of unscrupulous treasure hunters vying for the same bounty, Wheeler must decide if the all the riches are worth the price of dozens of human lives.
