Plot: Pistachio Disguisey (Carvey), a genial waiter at his father Frabbrizio's (James Brolin) Italian restaurant, possesses an uncanny knack for mimicry. What he doesn't know is that his talent is genetic, and that he is the descendent of a long line of "Masters of Disguise," all of whom have inherited the secret family gift known as "Energico." By tapping into this power, Pistachio's father can instantaneously morph from a famous pop star into the most accomplished sports hero, allowing him access into any forbidden place.

Such magical skills make Frabbrizio a ripe target for his arch-enemy Devlin Bowman (Brent Spiner), a nefarious criminal mastermind who is plotting to steal the world's most precious treasures. When Frabbrizio and his Mama Disguisey (Edie McClurg) suddenly disappear, their son Pistachio is devastated. As he sets out to rescue his beloved parents, Pistachio is astonished to learn the truth about the Disguisey Dynasty from his grandfather (Harold Gould). Grandpa Disguisey tutors Pistachio in the ways of "Energico" transformation techniques with the help of his beautiful assistant, Jennifer (Jennifer Esposito).
