But he's in way over his head when he's made out to be a super agent! IT's a reputation he must live up to as he tries to fake his way through one tough assignment after another while hunting for the elusive incriminating proof of his father's illegal activities.

The setup is promising: The Romano mob family know that they're being betrayed by a hidden FBI informant in their ranks, so they decide to send a family member under cover to destroy the evidence against them--but the only family member the FBI won't recognize is the family black sheep, Corky (Chris Kattan), a touchy-feely aspiring veterinarian. But once Corky goes undercover, his klutzy ways accidentally make him the star of the FBI, sparking envy from his fellow agents and arousing suspicion in the mob. Though the script of Corky Romano declines as the movie goes on, Kattan actually keeps the picture going; his spastic, sniveling, childish energy is engaging, and at its best the production bubbles over with silliness. It only falls flat when Kattan has to behave in a remotely adult manner, which fortunately doesn't happen very often. Cheerful dopiness. Featuring Peter Falk, Peter Berg, and Chris Penn as mobsters. --Bret Fetzer

Good-natured veterinarian Corky Romano (CHRIS KATTAN) is stunned when he receives a surprising call from his long lost father, "Pops" (PETER FALK), an underworld crime lord who has been indicted by a Grand Jury. With his trial just two weeks away, it looks as if the Mafia kingpin is finally going down. However, he still has an ace up his sleeve. Pops realizes that the one person who can turn the tables and infiltrate the FBI undetected—and abscond with the evidence against him—is Corky, who was banished from the "family" at a young age, for not fitting in. Corky is only too happy to help his newly re-discovered relations, and his brothers intimidate a computer hacker into creating a fake resume to get Corky into the FBI. But the hacker panics and goes overboard, making Corky appear to be a super agent, a reputation that he must live up to. Under the guise of Agent Pissant, he stumbles into the hallowed halls of justice and tries to fake his way through one tough assignment after another while hunting for the elusive incriminating proof of dear ol’ dad’s illegal activities. As investigators close in on the Romano family, a disguised Corky gets caught in their drag net. But Corky has set up a sting of his own – one that will blow everybody’s minds.

Over the years, television's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has been the playground and jumping off point for an impressive number of comic superstars who nimbly made the transition from television to the big screen, including John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, and Steve Martin. Recently that tradition has continued with the rising careers of funny men and women like Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, David Spade, and Molly Shannon. Chris Kattan is the newest SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE veteran to make the leap to film in this delirious screwball comedy. Kattan stars as CORKY ROMANO, a goofy misfit born into a powerful crime family who is rejected for being too normal and haplessly continues his life as a gentle veterinarian. One day Corky is shocked to receive a phone call from Pops (Peter Falk), his estranged Godfather-like father who is being indicted by the Grand Jury. It seems Corky is his father's last hope, he has hatched a plan to send his bumbling son undercover into the F.B.I. where he will be able to steal all evidence of his family's misdeeds. The only problem is: Corky's resume is desperately inflated by his intellectually challenged brothers (Chris Penn and Peter Berg) and the F.B.I. not only accepts him, they believe that he is speaks five languages and is Harvard-educated and is a super agent. Suddenly Kattan is forced to live up to his super-agent status, hunting down powerful drug lords and engaging in top-secret missions while he scrambles to find and destroy the evidence against his father. Kattan is a master of physical comedy, bumbling and goofing his way into the hearts of his coworkers who he miraculously impresses in this antic-filled Jerry Lewis-like performance.
