Plot: A secret interstellar mission fails -- and thrusts humanity to the brink of apocalypse. A crew of six American astronauts aboard the "Aquarius 7" vanishes after the spacecraft crashes under suspicious circumstances. Nick Saxon leads a rescue effort to track down the lost travelers and get to the bottom of the mystery. What he learns, though, is probably something he wished he never knew. It seems that an infestation occurred in the ship's cabin. The astronauts suffered a takeover by a strange species of parasites... and are now carriers. Unless Nick can prevent them from spreading, these deadly life forms will stop at nothing short of global destruction.
