This offbeat thriller from Tobe Hooper (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) stars Brad Dourif as Sam Kramer, a young man whose parents died after participating in a top secret radiation experiment during the 1950s. Around the time Sam discovers his parent's fate, he begins to have bouts of anger that seemingly cause other people to burst into flames. Realizing this may be some sort of leftover effect of the radiation he was exposed to as a child, Sam is not surprised that his newfound powers begin to attract the attention of the government.

In the mid 1950's, a young husband and wife become human guinea pigs for Project Samson, a top-secret experiment exposing them to massive amounts of atomic bomb radiation. But when the couple dies in a shocking "accident", their infant son grows up to be a man whose rage can cause people to suddenly explode into flames. Now the government's murderous experiment may not be over… and one man's use of his horrific 'gift' has only just begun.
Melinda Dillon (Close Encounters of the Third Kind) co-stars in this explosive thriller co-written and directed by Tobe Hooper, director of the horror classics Poltergeist and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
