I've seen the film quite a few times now, it actually scared me the first viewing, and it has quickly become one of my all time favorite 80's slasher flicks. It's got very slick direction, a decent plot, a spooky haunted house atmosphere, gory murders, acreepy electronic score by Dan Wyman, tense chase scenes and some actual suspense.

Okay slasher flick is nothing brilliant, too darkly lit and Blair's acting is bad; but isn't the worst of its type with a decent first half making up for the weak second.

It entertained me and every cheese loving bone in my body was satisfied after watching the movie, sure it dragged on in the middle and the cast were picked up from the street, not including the hottie Linda, but the movie is a good one that we should allkeep on our shelf's for our days in.  -- (terrorwatch.net)
