JOHN CAMERON MITCHELL (Hedwig, Director and Writer) is the recipient of the Sundance 2001 Dramatic Competition Director Award, the Dramatic Competition Audience Award and the Berlin Festival 2001 Teddy Award for his film adaptation of Hedwig And The Angry Inch. For his Off-Broadway stage version of the same name (1998-2000), he won an Obie Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical. Broadway acting credits include "The Secret Garden" (Drama Desk Nomination), "Six Degrees of Separation" and "Big River". Off Broadway credits include "The Destiny of Me" by Larry Kramer (Obie Award, Drama Desk Nomination), "Hello Again" (Drama Desk Nomination) and "Missing Persons". He is a member of the Drama Department Theater Company for which he adapted and directed Tennessee Williams' "Kingdom of Earth". His film acting credits include Misplaced, Girl Six, Band Of The Hand, Book Of Love. TV credits include "Party Girl", "Nothing Sacred", "Law And Order", "The Twilight Zone", "Freddy's Nightmares", "Macgyver', "The Equalizer", "Head Of The Class" and "The Stepford Children" starring Barbara Eden.
