MANDY MOORE (Jamie) is a multi-talented and multi-platinum artist who writes and sings her own original songs and who hosted her own entertainment talk show on MTV, now in its second season. She recently made her feature film acting debut in director Garry Marshall's "The Princess Diaries," with Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.
Moore knew she wanted to be a performer at age 6, after seeing a stage production of "Oklahoma." She began in musical theater and singing the national anthem at sporting events in her native Orlando, Florida, at an early age. It was at one of those events that she was discovered by producers who encouraged her to record a demo. At the age of 15, Moore released her debut CD, 1999's So Real, which included the hit single "Candy" and went platinum in three months. To date, So Real has sold close to 3 million copies. In 2001 she released her second CD, Mandy Moore, which includes the singles "In My Pocket," "Cry" (written by James Renald) and "Crush."
A dynamic live performer, Moore has toured with 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys.
In addition to hosting her own show, she is a frequent guest host on MTV's "Total Request Live" and a national spokesperson for Neutrogena.
