Fun flick that's entertaining, has some inventive methods of dispatch and an exciting finale. Effects man Winston's directorial debut. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
"Pumpkinhead" isn't a perfect movie. It sometimes seems a little bit too dark (not in a metaphorical sense, but in a literal sense), and it's tough to see what the hell's going on sometimes.-- (eSplatter.com)
The creature effects are incredible for their time, definitely due to Winston's experience with animatronics" --Charles Smith (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
