Look I don't care what you have to do to see this thing. Drive three hours to a video store that carries it, buy it off of Amazon for the cheap price (hint hint) but see this movie, you'll never look at a one night stand the same way again. You can thankme later.--Sonny Fernandez (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
The first thing you notice about this early Cronenberg effort is how sloppy it is. Low-budget fare is only average at best. Cronenberg certainly went on to better things. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
The tension that should be omnipresent is, in a strange sort of way, somewhat lacking. Shivers essentially becomes a zombie movie, but it wasn't until nearly the very end that the feeling of danger started to affect me. But it still managed to make my skin crawl. 68/100--Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)

Cronenberg's first full-length movie is a must-see classic. ... The flick is full of sex and violence and is so good it even enjoyed a brief midnight run in 1998.-- (eSplatter.com)
