HEALTH LEDGER burst onto the American film scene as Patrick Verona, opposite Julia Stiles in the popular and critical hit (10 Things I Hate About You." Following the release of that film, Ledger co-starred with Mel Gibson in "The Patriot" and most recently starred in "A Knight's Tale." He was also seen opposite Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry in the critically acclaimed "Monster's Ball."
Recently, Ledger played the title role in Gregor Jordon's "Ned Kelly" and finished production on Brian Helgeland's epic "The Sin Eater."
A native of Perth, Australia, Ledger became involved in theatre at an early age, becoming successful both on the stage and in independent film. He was nominated for an Australian Film Institute Best Actor Award for his performance in "Two Hands."
