Plot: Through jolting twists and mind-bending surprises, THEY follows the story of Julia (LAURA REGAN), a smart, athletic psychology student who is finally starting to get her life together. As a kid she was traumatized by night terrors, but now she is cruising towards a successful career as a psychologist and has a rock-solid EMT boyfriend to boot (MARC BLUCAS). Just as she is about to defend her thesis, Julia receives a disturbing call from her troubled ex, Billy. He complains of being revisited by traumatizing night terrors, and ultimately decides that he can no longer live with his paralyzing fears. The atmosphere director Robert Harmon has brought to this seems about right, the finale is pretty decent and the creatures are pretty cool; but it suffers from just being too dull and having a script that could have used a bit more clarity. ... Throw in the fact this just isn't entertaining and the acting is so-so and you have this mostly passable effort. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
In the end, despite the cliches and occasional bad acting, I was deeply scared by "They". It struck something primal in me, something I haven't felt since the first time I watched "Suspiria". It scared me far worse than the uneven "The Ring" --Jason Chisari (Bloody-Disgusting.com)

A good horror film to check out. A lot of pop-scares and has an interesting plot. Slows down in parts, but it's still good. Worth a watch. 6/10--FrighT MasteR (UHM)
