Plot: Dr. Tess Coleman (JAMIE LEE CURTIS) and her fifteen-year-old daughter, Anna (LINDSAY LOHAN), are not getting along. They don’t see eye-to-eye on clothes, hair, music, and certainly not on each other’s taste in men. One Thursday evening, their disagreements reach a fever pitch—Anna is incensed that her mother doesn’t support her musical aspirations and Tess, a widow about to remarry, can’t see why Anna won’t give her fiancé (MARK HARMON) a break. Everything soon changes when two identical Chinese Fortune cookies cause a little mystic mayhem. The next morning, their Friday gets freaky when Tess and Anna find themselves inside the other’s body. As they’re literally forced to walk in each other’s shoes, they gain a little newfound respect for the other’s point of view. But with Tess’s wedding coming on Saturday, the two have to find a way to switch back (and

 External Reviews
external linkDirector Mark S. Waters whips up a sweet and thoroughly modern version of the '70s movie that caters to young adults without being crass. Propped up by a charming story and strong performances, Freaky Friday is a touching and funny movie for kids, teens and adults. 3/4

external linkA relatively funny and enjoyable flick B-
--Lee Tistaert (Lee's Movie Info)

external link"Freaky Friday" is no "Finding Nemo" or any other Disney classic, but it's a decent, fun family film about a mother and daughter who literally get to walk a mile (and, in this case, 93 minutes) in the other's shoes.
--Ron Weiskind (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

external linkNothing about Freaky Friday is really freaky, as its theme is supposed to be. The plot is wholly unoriginal, and so is the concept. The effects of body-switching are not developed, only showcased for laughs. Curtis is uninteresting despite her star power. 4/10
--'Le Apprenti' (Movie-Vault.com)

external linkFreaky Friday, is disarming, charming fun. And it features two terrific performances 4/5
--Pete Croatto (FilmCritic.com)

external linkAside from a brief stretch towards the end of the second act that drags a little, the film's pace is quick and brisk. It's virtually impossible to watch the movie without smiling throughout, and for that alone, Freaky Friday is worth a look. 3/4
--David Nusair (Reel Film Reviews)

external linkExtremely enjoyable, sharply scripted family comedy with superb comic performances from both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lyndsay Lohan. 4/5
--Matthew Turner (ViewLondon)

external link"Freaky Friday" is Disney's best comedy in years. 3/4
--Lou Lumenick (New York Post)

external linkwhat the flick lacks in creativity, style and political correctness it makes up for with Curtis' spunky performance in the teenage posture. 2/4
--Lynda Lin (The Movie Insider)

external linkProbably the best body-swap comedy since Big, and it certainly wipes the floor with the dismal The Hot Chick from earlier this year. 7/10
--Gary Panton (Movie Gazette)

external linkThis is a family comedy designed for young girls predominantly and whilst its a far better effort than some of the more recent attempts in the genre, its not a great comedy or memorable by any means. Rather its a simple guilty pleasure - a light-hearted and fun picture, and one of the few recent remakes which actually works. 3/5
--Garth Franklin (DarkHorizons)
