Plot: Hong Kong police inspector Eddie Yang (JACKIE CHAN) is assisting a team of Interpol agents in capturing one of the most ruthless crime lords in Europe – Snakehead (JULIAN SANDS). Heading the covert operation is the overly eager Agent Arthur Watson (LEE EVANS) who feels that everyone is on a "need to know" basis.While Watson and his team go into a Buddhist temple to arrest Snakehead, Eddie keeps watch outside. Not quite sure what Snakehead’s motives are, Eddie’s curiosity is raised when a bright light comes up from the drain hole in the street. Climbing down into the sewers of Hong Kong, Eddie is instantly confronted with Snakehead’s minions as they try to stop him from getting to Snakehead. As Eddie fights and disarms the men attacking him, Snakehead gets closer to his prey inside the temple. A small boy holds the secrets to a powerful medallion, which gives the person possessing the artifact immortality and superhuman powers. Before Snakehead is able to kidnap the boy, Eddie bursts through the door. To escape capture, Snakehead starts a fire, forcing Eddie to choose between saving the boy or carrying out the mission.
