Plot: Professor J.T. Neumeyer (Timothy Hutton) is a physics professor who has been granted an important insight, one that foretells his own murder. One day he receives a police file that details the five days leading up to his death. At first dismissing it as a student prank, he becomes convinced of its veracity when the events it describes begin to come true. Growing more and more afraid, the countdown begins as J.T. endeavors to find the killer before he or she strikes; everyone is a suspect, including his girlfriend (Kari Matchett). To complicate matters, the brilliant prof. has a student who's convinced disaster will strike if he succeeds in tampering with the future, and he's doing everything he can to subvert J.T.'s efforts. This suspenseful thriller originally aired over the course of five days, and successfully portrays a man in the grips of a quintessential existential crisis.
