A good 80s slasher. Unoriginal and predictable plot, but has a good cast and an interesting story. Check this out if you're looking for something to rent. 6/10-- (UHM)
What could've been a misfire actually rises above its ocassional silliness and the odd chaotic scene to be a competently made effort that has enough decent twists and a name cast to carry it. There's a good (if out of place) opening, a Friday The 13th in-joke, a nice throat-ripping with a garden tool and a cool scene involving a baseball bat and cleaver. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
There's little to like in Alone in the Dark. Its killers are blanks, never fleshed out; they're reduced to being dumb maniacs. 19/100--Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)

Brainless but fun horror pic with Palance and Martin Landau as escaped patients from a lunatic asylum who, following a power failure, escape and go on a killing spree.-- (eSplatter.com)
