Plot: IN THEATRES: SEPTEMBER 29, 2000BARENAKED IN AMERICA takes a frank, good-natured look at two weeks of the Canadian band, Barenaked Ladies, on their 1999 tour of North America, and features footage of performances in Buffalo, New York; Toronto and Vancouver, Canada; Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Wallingford, Connecticut. Director Jason Priestley intercuts engaging concert footage that communicates the band's rapport with its fans with humorous interviews with the fans themselves. BARENAKED IN AMERICA also features interviews with various celebrity acquaintances of Barenaked Ladies, as well as honest and revealing discussions with band members, who talk about life on the road, their families, drinking, eager female fans, and their struggles as a Canadian band trying to break into the American market.
