This is one of the nastiest films of all time; In my opinion, it's even nastier than Cannibal Ferox. However, it is not quite as trashy as Lenzi's flick, as it's better-shot and not as cheesy. --p.rinse (ColdSpot)
This bizarre film out of Italy has its following. More violent porn than horror, it does own the dubious distinction of being the best in what`s known as the "cannibal" genre, often involving sick gore and, in the case of this film, real animal killings.-- (eSplatter.com)
One of the most infamous films in gore exploitation's history, Cannibal Holocaust is a gut wrenching experience of insane horror. --Zaero (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
This is some strong stuff, folks, even for the hardcore gore hound. Not one to wince at blood or violence on screen, Cannibal had me looking away several times, especially during the totally unnecessary killings of real live animals. But it is the power and emotion of the film that packs the true punch. --Matt Dalton (Bloody-Disgusting.com)

A movie that somewhat lives up to its hype. Should be able to please many gore fans and those of you who want to see something that is banned in America. Check this movie out if you want something to remember days after you watch it. 5/10--FrighT MasteR (UHM)
